How far in advance should I order my wedding cake?We recommend you start the process at least a few months in advance. But even if you’re getting close to your wedding date, give us a call! We may have availability.

What will happen at the free tasting?Our formal wedding cake tasting and consultation is a one-hour private meeting, in which you will have the opportunity to taste our confections and discuss the details of your dream wedding cake! Our tasting plate consists of 4 fillings and 5 cake flavors: our 3 standard flavors as well as 2 specialty flavors of your choice. During this time, we will discuss the overall vision for your wedding and review any photos of cakes and cupcakes that will assist in creating your perfect wedding cake design!

How many people can join me in the tasting?We understand the excitement involved with planning the perfect wedding day, so you are welcome to have additional guests accompany you to your cake consultation. We justask that there be no more than 5 individuals in total and that you notify us of any additional guestsso we can plan accordingly.

When can tastings be scheduled?We generally schedule tastings Mondays-Wednesdays and Saturday afternoons. Call us to schedule!

What forms of payment do you accept?Cash, money orders, corporate checks, and credit and debit cards.

Can I combine flavors and fillings in my wedding cake?Of course!

Do you offer sheet cakes?Yes! This is a very popular option, especially with faux and partial-faux cakes. You can see more information on the Pricing page.

What is the difference between buttercream and fondant?Buttercream is a more traditional, creamy icing. Fondant is a thick, sugar-based icing that is very smooth and easily smoothed and sculpted.

Can I use fresh flowers on my cake?Yes! The fresh flowers will need to be provided to us by your florist. Please keep food safety in mind if you choose non-edible flowers! Other “flower” options include buttercream, fondant, royal icing, gum paste, and silk.

What if I have a cake topper?Please let us know! We will need the it in advance see if it needs extra support.

Do you offer wedding cupcakes?Yes! And the pricing is no different for weddings. The only difference would be for additional designs, such as sugar flowers or any other embellishment.Please see more info on the Pricing page.

Do you rent cupcake towers?We do rent out a five-tier cake/cupcake stand. Renting is $50, with $20 returned to you when it is returned in good condition.

Do you offer cakes for grooms’ parties or bridal showers?Of course! We offer custom cakes for any occasion.

What if the number of my guests changes?At the time of the final payment, 3 weeks before your wedding date, we will need your final head count. If it’s much higher than originally anticipated, we can happily provide sheet cakes for more servings.

When is delivery?Usually 2 to 2 1/2 hours before the reception begins. The couple is responsible for ensuring that there is someone available at the time of the delivery and that a secure, stable, and level tableis ready. Note: we highly recommend letting us deliver the cake rather than pickup. Wedding cakes are delicate, and we cannot be held responsible for damages or temperature related changes to the cake after it leaves the shop.

What if my wedding is outdoors?We recommend using a fondant cake for outdoor weddings, but do watch out for direct sunlight, leaves, wind, and insects! After setup, we cannot be held responsible for the effects of outdoor conditions.

How do I save my anniversary cake?As soon as possible, you should place the cake in an air-tight container or securely wrap the box with several layers of plastic wrap before freezing. Before eating, let it defrost at room temperature. Happy Anniversary!
